This is one of the best build threads I have seen. Although it is not completed as we are waiting in the composites to be finished, it shows the assembly of the various components from the jig to a completed component; less the sheeting. The clients, his builder FR1BeeGee, Century Jet and several other are doing a great job making this into a fully supported model. Photos from the thread can be seen below.

1. Special hardware designed for this model are laser cut parts[101] from aircraft grade alum.

2 .Composite Set provided by Century Jet includes fiberglass framed vacuum formed greenhouse, windscreen, side gunner blisters, turret, tail gunner blister, as well as composite cowls, forward waist gun pods and tail cone.

3. Landing gear by Century Jet [Complete system includes sequencers, mains w/ brakes and nose wheel w/ steering.

             Laser cut keels, backbone & side stringer of 1/8" & 1/4" Birch & Liteply

             Sheeting ~ 1/8" balsa w/ glass and epoxy resin over all surface

            Two pieces ~ center section w/nacelles on fuselage

            Connections ~ CF tubing w/ Phenolic sleeves

            Ribs ~ 1/8" & 1/4" Balsa, Birch & Liteply

            LE ~ 1/4" Birch ply center section & 1/8" Liteply tip sections

            TE ~ 1/16" Birch ply center section, Tip flaps & ailerons 1/32" Birch ply tips

            Spars ~ CF tubes & "I" beam w/ 1/4" Liteply web w/ 1/8" Birch ply flanges

            Sheeting 1/8" balsa w/ glass & resin

Vertical & Horizontal Stabilizer Construction

Lots of support by Century Jet , the client's builder and others to get these huge plugs made. Molds are being feverishly worked on!
